The Helping Hands Committee mission is to establish a network of parents, grandparents, UBCCC staff & teachers, students, faculty, staff and friends interested in supporting the mission and activities of the UBCCC through volunteer and financial support.
The aim is to create a strong sense of community at UBCCC, grow parent involvement, to serve parents and to help provide valuable resources for UBCCC and its students.
HHC is always on the lookout for volunteers!
If you are interested, have questions, feedback, suggestions or ideas, please email ubcccHHC@gmail.com or reach out to one of the HHC Chairs/Vice-Chairs of your center for more information!
In addition to our ongoing year-round initiatives, the Helping Hands Committee (HHC) supports many UBCCC activities throughout the year such as:
The HHC newsletter will be published each semester following the UBCCC semester calendar. There will be a total of three issues each academic year beginning with Fall, Spring and Summer.
Through the newsletter, HHC hopes to further connect parents, teachers and staff ensuring that information are being periodically disseminated and provide you with a glimpse of what’s to come for the current semester.
If you are interested to contribute to the newsletter or getting involved, please contact our newsletter coordinator Sherene Milizia.
The SCRIP program is an annual gift card fundraiser for UBCCC. Gift cards are sold at face value and the HHC receives a percentage of each sale. Money raised goes towards parent programming, outings for families when the center is closed for staff development, and teacher/staff appreciation events in the spring semester.
Information when the SCRIP program is open will be sent out via the center listserv. The SCRIP program usually takes place in the Fall semester.
