BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (6-0, 0-0 MAC) looks to extend their winning streak to seven straight on Sunday afternoon as they welcome the Hofstra Pride to Alumni Arena. The Bulls and Pride are set to tip off at 12:00 pm as UB aims for their first 7-0 start since 2000-01.

The University at Buffalo men’s basketball team nearly overcame a late 11-point deficit on Saturday afternoon, but the Bulls ultimately fell at Big 4 rival St. Bonaventure, 90-84. The Bulls were paced by sophomore Nick Perkins, who scored a career-high 24 points.

AKRON, OH – After day two of the Zippy Invitational, the men remain in third place, while the women drop from second to third. The men sit behind Cornell and Oakland; the women behind Akron and Oakland.

The Bulls play their fifth straight game on the road Saturday afternoon with a trip to St. Bonaventure. The Bulls are currently 2-2 on the road trip and are looking for their first victory at St. Bonaventure since the 1915-16 season, the first year of UB men’s basketball. Overall, St. Bonaventure holds an 8-3 edge in the all-time series as the Big 4 rivals meet for just the 12th time in the last 100 seasons.

The University at Buffalo wrestling team will open Mid-American Conference action on Sunday when it travels to Ohio to take on the Bobcats. The match is scheduled to start at 1 pm.

BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference announced the predictions for the 2016-2017 Indoor Track & Field season on Thursday. The men were predicted to finish the fifth, while the women were predicted to finish seventh.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s Track and Field team has signed four athletes to National Letters of Intent, head coach Vicki Mitchell announced. Brandon Burke, Shane McGuire, Asia McInnis, and Annie Kurdziel are will be joining the Bulls in the fall of 2017.

AKRON, OH – The Buffalo swimming and diving team traveled to Akron University for day one of the annual Zippy Invitational on Friday. The women sit in second place and the men sit in third after day one events.

University at Buffalo wrestler James Benjamin was named the Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week after an upset win at the Grapple at the Garden, the league announced on Thursday.

The University at Buffalo wrestling team has signed four wrestlers to National Letters of Intent, head coach John Stutzman announced Thursday. Matt Caccamise, Nick Palumbo, Noah Grover and Jake Lanning will join the Bulls in the fall of 2017.

BUFFALO, NY – Behind a career-high 12 points and nine rebounds by junior Mariah Suchan, the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (6-0, 0-0 MAC) was able to stay unbeaten as they snuck past a feisty UCF squad on Thursday night at Alumni Arena, 66-65. The win gives UB their second straight 6-0 start to a season, marking the first time the Bulls have done this in program history.

Four University at Buffalo players were named to the All-Mid-American Conference football team, the league announced on Wednesday. Tight end Mason Schreck and linebacker Khalil Hodge were named to the second team while running back Jordan Johnson and center James O’Hagan were named third team.

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (5-0, 0-0 MAC) will be looking for their second straight 6-0 start to the season when they welcome the Central Florida Knights to Alumni Arena on Thursday for a 7:00 pm game. UB is in search of their first 5-0 start at home since 2000-01 when the Bulls started out their home slate with seven straight wins.

University at Buffalo men’s basketball senior Willie Conner has been named a nominee for the NABC Good Works Team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), and Allstate Insurance Company announced today. An all-time high 278 individuals were honored.

For 20 minutes on Tuesday night, the University at Buffalo men’s basketball team was primed to give the 10th ranked team in the country a scare, but the undefeated Creighton Blue Jays outscored the Bulls 52-33 in the second half, defeating Buffalo, 93-72.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving team heads to Akron, OH for the annual Zippy Invitational this weekend. The event is held Friday through Sunday at the University of Akron. This will be the women’s first meet since November 4th, when they welcomed Akron to the Alumni Arena Natatorium; and the men’s first meet since they traveled to Pittsburgh on October 28th.

The Bulls will play their second nationally-ranked Top 10 opponent of the season on Tuesday night when UB faces Creighton, who is undefeated and 10th in the latest AP National Poll. Buffalo has already faced #7 Xavier and UB is currently the only team in the MAC to play two Top 10 national opponents this year. This will be the second ever meeting between these two schools and the first since 1922.

The University at Buffalo wrestling team split a pair of duals at the Grapple at the Garden on Sunday. The Bulls defeated George Mason, 32-9, before losing to Princeton, 28-12, at the famed Madison Square Garden.

BUFFALO, NY – Behind a career game from junior center Cassie Oursler, the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (5-0, 0-0 MAC) closed out November with an unblemished 5-0 record as they picked up the dominant 76-55 win over the Sacred Heart Pioneers. Oursler was unstoppable in the paint for the Bulls as she finished the game with a career-high 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in only 20 minutes of action. UB has now started the last two seasons 5-0, marking the first time in program history they have had consecutive 5-0 starts to a season.

Senior Blake Hamilton scored five of his game-high 23 points in the last 15 seconds on Saturday night as the Bulls overcame an eight-point second half deficit to defeat Weber State, 74-72, in the third place game of the Great Alaska Shootout.

BUFFALO, NY - The unbeaten University at Buffalo women's basketball team returns home on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm as they welcome the Sacred Heart Pioneers to Alumni Arena. This marks the fourth home game of the season for the Bulls as they aim for their second straight 5-0 start to a season for the first time in program history.

The University at Buffalo football team’s rally to defeat Bowling Green stalled at the BG 1-yard as the final second ticked off the clock. The Falcons held off the Bulls, 27-19, in the season finale at Doyt Perry Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Nevada Wolf Pack went on a 13-4 run over the final 8:38 on Friday night as they defeated the University at Buffalo men’s basketball team, 67-62 in the semifinal round of the Great Alaska Shootout. The Bulls went cold at the wrong time, missing 13 of their final 14 shots on the night.

Senior Blake Hamilton scored a career-high 36 points on Wednesday night, including 29 in the second half, leading the Bulls to an 85-79 win over the host Alaska-Anchorage in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout. With the win, UB advances to Friday’s semifinals.

The University at Buffalo wrestling team will have a unique opportunity when they travel to New York City and compete at the famed Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The Bulls will go up against George Mason and Princeton at the Grapple at the Garden.

The Bulls play their first ever game in the state of Alaska on Wednesday night as Buffalo faces Alaska-Anchorage in the opening round of the Great Alaska Shootout. The Shootout, which has been running continually since 1978, is the longest running in-season tournament in college basketball. Buffalo will become the sixth different team from the Mid-American Conference to play in the tournament.

BUFFALO, NY – Junior center Cassie Oursler finished off a layup and free throw to lead the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (4-0, 0-0 MAC) to a come-from-behind 71-69 victory over Duquesne on Tuesday afternoon at A.J. Palumbo Center. Oursler’s bucket with three seconds remaining improved UB to 4-0 on the year, marking the second straight season that the Bulls started off 4-0.

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo’s men’s and women’s cross country teams are getting ready to compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, October 29th in Kent, OH. Both teams are looking to improve on last year’s results. In 2015, the men took away a sixth place finish while the women took home a fifth place finish.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team (6-7-5, 3-4-3 MAC) played to their third straight draw on Senior Day at UB Stadium on Sunday. The Bulls and Central Michigan CHippewas drew even, 1-1. Carissima Cutrona netted the lone UB goal as she has now notched a team-high 10 goals on the year.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s swimming and diving team had their first meet of the season on Saturday against the Cornell Bears. The event was a non-scoring meet, but Buffalo proved an impressive showing in both the pool and the diving well.

Turnovers cost the University at Buffalo football team in a 44-7 loss to Northern Illinois at Huskie Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies were able to capitalize on Buffalo’s four first-half turnovers to build a 31-7 lead at the half and never looked back. It was a disappointing afternoon for a team that had prided itself on taking care of the football – committing only three turnovers in the previous five games.

Freshman Hao Sheng Koay had an impressive day on Saturday as he picked up a pair of singles victories to move into the round of 16 at the ITA Northeast Regionals. Koay also joined teammate Ethan Nittolo in doubles and moved into the round of 16 there as well.

BUFFALO, NY – Senior captain Russell Cicerone continued his home prowess on Friday night as he buried the game-tying goal with under a minute remaining in regulation to help lead the University at Buffalo men’s soccer team (9-3-2, 1-1-1 MAC) to a 1-1 draw with Western Michigan. With his game-tying goal, Cicerone now has 12 goals on the year and he notched his 101st career point, becoming just the second UB player and third in MAC history to do so.
