BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (18-7, 8-6 MAC) looks for their third straight win on Wednesday night as they welcome the Ohio Bobcats to Alumni Arena for a MAC east showdown. The Bulls will be in search of their 12th home win of the season which would tie a Buffalo division I record for home victories in a season.

The University at Buffalo men’s basketball team had their six-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night as the Bulls fell to the Kent State Golden Flashes, 77-69. The loss also snaps UB’s seven-game winning streak against Kent State.

The Bulls will look to keep a pair of streaks alive on Tuesday night when Buffalo hosts Kent State in game two of a three game homestand. The Bulls are looking for their seventh straight win, while they are also in search of their eighth straight victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes dating back to the 2013-14 season. The Bulls are currently in a second place tie in the MAC East at 9-5, while Kent State is two games back at 7-7.

BUFFALO, NY – After a well-performed weekend; the University at Buffalo women’s track and field team have jumped up in the Northeast Regional rankings to surge ahead of Syracuse University. The most recent rankings put them at second, a new highest in program history after ranking third the past two weeks.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team is off to Miami (OH) to compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Bulls have had an extremely successful season so far, and are hoping to carry that success into the conference finals. The championships start at Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 pm with the 200 Medley Relay; and will run until Saturday, February 25.

UNION CITY, TN – The University at Buffalo baseball team (1-2, 0-0 MAC) fell in dramatic fashion on Sunday afternoon as the UT Martin Skyhawks earned the 4-3 walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth.

The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team made the most of their home opener on Sunday afternoon as the Bulls dominated their match against Quinnipiac, 7-0, for UB’s second straight victory.

BUFFALO, NY – Behind a season-high 13 three pointers, the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (18-7, 8-6 MAC) cruised to an 81-51 win over the Akron Zips on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena. With the win, the Bulls improved to 11-3 at home this season, most wins at home since 2002-03. Buffalo netted a season-high 81 points while also improving to 14-0 on the year when holding their opponents to 59 points or less.

UNION CITY, TN – The University at Buffalo baseball team (1-1, 0-0 MAC) was handed a 14-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon in the second game of a three-game series against UT Martin at Elam Stadium in Union City, TN. The Bulls were held to just five hits while the Skyhawks produced 16 for the game.

The University at Buffalo men’s basketball capped off its 100 seasons of basketball celebration on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls picked up their sixth straight win with a 71-58 defeat of the Miami (OH) RedHawks. The win improves Buffalo to 15-12 on the year and 9-5 in MAC play.

The University at Buffalo softball team was swept by Texas-Arlington and Alcorn State on day two at the Lion Classic II, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana. UB fell 12-3 against Texas-Arlington and Alcorn State.

ITHACA, NY – The Bulls had a great performance in their final meet before Indoor MAC Championships. The team saw several athletes finish with a new personal best at the competition; along with numerous first place finishes.

The Bulls look for their sixth straight win on Saturday afternoon as they begin a three-game homestand against the Miami RedHawks. The Bulls are celebrating 100 seasons of men’s basketball during the game as they will be wearing throwback uniforms from the 1950’s. Around 50 former players will be in attendance at Alumni Arena for the event.

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (17-7, 7-6 MAC) welcomes the Akron Zips on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm for their first of three straight home games at Alumni Arena. UB will be looking for their 11th home victory of the season, most in a season since 2000-01.

The University at Buffalo softball team began its 2017 season on Friday with a pair of defeats at the Lion Classic II, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana. UB fell 9-1 in five innings to Southeastern Louisiana in the opener and then lost 4-0 to Morehead State in the second game.

UNION CITY, TN – The University at Buffalo baseball team (1-0, 0-0 MAC) opened up their 2017 regular season in impressive fashion as they were able to collect a 10-2 road victory at UT Martin on Friday afternoon. Seven UB players recorded at least one hit while six players notched a run scored in the season opening victory over the Skyhawks. The 10 runs scored for the Bulls were the most they have scored in a season opener since they scored 12 in 2011 against New Mexico State.

The 100 Seasons of UB Men's Basketball weekend got start on Friday night with an Alumni Game. 15 former players suited up as the White team used a big second half rally to win 59-49.

Competing in their final dual of the season, the University at Buffalo wrestling team took down Binghamton, 31-9, at the Binghamton Events Center on Friday night. It was the Bulls’ 11th dual win of the season which is their most since 2004.

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women’s soccer fourth-year head coach Shawn Burke announced the addition of Mackenzie Allen and Sidney Reeves to his 2017 signing class on Thursday afternoon. The Bulls now have a total of six signees in their signing class.

YPSILANTI, MI – Stingy defense led the University at Buffalo women’s basketball team (17-7, 7-6 MAC) to a 56-52 road victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. With the win, Buffalo improves to 13-0 on the season when holding their opponents to 59 points or less.

BUFFALO, NY – The defending Mid-American Conference champion University at Buffalo women’s basketball team has been picked to finish second in the MAC East division, as announced by the league on Thursday afternoon. The Bulls earned three first-place votes in the preseason Coaches’ Poll while also earning one vote to win the regular season championship and one vote to win the conference tournament.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team (7-7-5, 4-4-3 MAC) was able to clinch their third straight trip to the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon as they handed the Akron Zips a 1-0 defeat at UB Stadium. The Bulls totally controlled the tempo of the match as Celina Carrero netted the game-winner, her first this season.

With a win or a draw, the Bulls will secure their third straight trip to the conference tournament.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s swimming and diving team hits the water again on Friday, October 28th. The Bulls will be traveling to Pittsburgh, PA for a 5:00 pm meet. Last Saturday, the Bulls were visited by the Cornell Bears in a non-scoring match. The Bulls performance proved that this will be an exciting season.

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo’s men’s and women’s cross country teams are getting ready to compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, October 29th in Kent, OH. Both teams are looking to improve on last year’s results. In 2015, the men took away a sixth place finish while the women took home a fifth place finish.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team (6-7-5, 3-4-3 MAC) played to their third straight draw on Senior Day at UB Stadium on Sunday. The Bulls and Central Michigan CHippewas drew even, 1-1. Carissima Cutrona netted the lone UB goal as she has now notched a team-high 10 goals on the year.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s swimming and diving team had their first meet of the season on Saturday against the Cornell Bears. The event was a non-scoring meet, but Buffalo proved an impressive showing in both the pool and the diving well.

Turnovers cost the University at Buffalo football team in a 44-7 loss to Northern Illinois at Huskie Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies were able to capitalize on Buffalo’s four first-half turnovers to build a 31-7 lead at the half and never looked back. It was a disappointing afternoon for a team that had prided itself on taking care of the football – committing only three turnovers in the previous five games.

Freshman Hao Sheng Koay had an impressive day on Saturday as he picked up a pair of singles victories to move into the round of 16 at the ITA Northeast Regionals. Koay also joined teammate Ethan Nittolo in doubles and moved into the round of 16 there as well.

BUFFALO, NY – Senior captain Russell Cicerone continued his home prowess on Friday night as he buried the game-tying goal with under a minute remaining in regulation to help lead the University at Buffalo men’s soccer team (9-3-2, 1-1-1 MAC) to a 1-1 draw with Western Michigan. With his game-tying goal, Cicerone now has 12 goals on the year and he notched his 101st career point, becoming just the second UB player and third in MAC history to do so.
