The University at Buffalo rowing program kept up its dominating performance at the Harvey Cup, sweeping Eastern Michigan on Saturday morning on Tonawanda Creek. The Bulls were victorious in all five races, including the Varsity 8 affair, which is the Harvey Cup race, named for former UB Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator Nan Harvey who passed away in September 2003.

Senior Tori Speckman pitched a four-hit shutout on Saturday afternoon as the University at Buffalo softball team defeated Toledo, 2-0, at Nan Harvey Field. The victory improves the Bulls to 21-19 and 5-4 in Mid-American Conference play.

Jordan Johnson rushed for 114 yards and two touchdown to help lead the Blue team to a 20-8 victory over the White squad at the annual Spring Game played at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team ended the regular season on a high note Saturday afternoon as they defeated Akron, 6-1. The victory improves the Bulls to 14-5 and 5-3 in MAC play heading into next week’s Mid-American Conference Tournament.

The Buffalo baseball team saw its modest five-game win streak in Mid-American Conference games come to an end Saturday evening, as it fell 8-4 at Kent State (24-13, 10-4 MAC). Matt Pollock drove in three runs to power the UB (17-13, 8-5 MAC) offense.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field teams dominated the three team field, Canisius and Niagara, as the UB women collected 16 individual titles while the men collected 10 at the UB Open held at UB Stadium for the first time since 2010.

The University at Buffalo softball team fell short in both ends of its doubleheader on Friday against Bowling Green, losing the first game, 6-1, and then falling in the second game, 12-11. UB is now 20-19 on the year and 4-4 in conference play.

In one of the best individual performances in the program's recent history, senior pitcher Kevin Hughes spun a two-hit complete game shutout to lead the Bulls to a 6-0 win over rival Kent State Friday evening. The pitching performance, coupled with an efficient offense, helped the team position itself in the race for seeding in the fast-approaching Mid-American Conference tournament.

The UB men's tennis team were able to feel the fresh air in its first outdoor match of the Mid-American Conference season but were unable to take down MAC-leader Northern Illinois (18-5, 4-0 MAC), falling to the Huskies 5-2 Friday afternoon. Damien David earned a pair of wins for the Bulls.

After a history of success transforming programs alongside current UB head coach Felisha Legette-Jack at Hofstra and Indiana, it was announced Wednesday that Cherie Cordoba will now join her staff at Buffalo as the team's new assistant head coach.

Head coach Bobby Hurley has announced the addition of Bobby Frasco and Ikenna Smart, who have each signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Bulls for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

The University at Buffalo women’s rowing team will host the ninth annual Nan Harvey Cup this Saturday morning on Tonawanda Creek. Once again, the Bulls will host Eastern Michigan in search of winning the Harvey Cup for the ninth straight year.

The UB baseball team's scheduled Tuesday doubleheader against Niagara has been cancelled. Poor weather in the forecast and already poor field conditions will again delay the team's true home opener. Next up for the Bulls will be a weekend series against MAC East rival Kent State, starting Friday at 6 pm.

University at Buffalo senior shortstop Sammi Gallardo has been named the MAC East Softball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday morning. The honor comes following a week that saw Gallardo hit six home runs in six games.

A full day of fun is planned for fans of UB football, as the team will host the 2014 Spring Game and Fan Fest on Saturday, April 19. The day will feature a clinic for kids, a chance to select your seat for a much-anticipated 2014 season and an autograph session before the team’s Spring Game.

Senior outfielder Matt Pollock was named the Mid-American Conference's East Division Player of the Week Monday morning, coming on the heels of leading the team to a three-game weekend sweep of Western Michigan. It's the team's second weekly conference honor of the 2014 season and it is Pollock's first player of the week recognition.

The University at Buffalo softball team found themselves coming back all afternoon long and a ninth inning walk-off home run from senior Heather Ryder turned out to be the deciding blow, giving the Bulls a 6-4 victory over Eastern Michigan, Sunday afternoon at Nan Harvey Field.

The University at Buffalo women’s rowing team competed at the Knecht Cup on Mercer Lake in New Jersey over the weekend. The event was highlighted by both the Varsity 4 and Second Varsity 4 boats reaching the Grand Final and the Novice 8 boat earning a silver medal.

Matt Pollock continued his torrid month of April, reaching base four times and driving in three runs to lead Buffalo’s offense.

LEWISBURG, PA - The University at Buffalo track and field teams had a strong showing on the final day of the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell on Sunday afternoon. The Bulls saw nine athletes take home first place finishes on day two of action.

The University at Buffalo softball team received another outstanding pitching performance from senior Tori Speckman and they hit three home runs as the Bulls shut out Eastern Michigan, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at Nan Harvey Field. The win improved the Bulls to 19-17 and 3-2 in MAC play.

Not 24 passed since Kyle Figgins drew a 3-2 walk to bring in the winning run, Matt Pollock stepped into the role and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Bulls beat Western Michigan 5-4 to clinch the weekend Mid-American Conference series Saturday afternoon. Buffalo (15-12, 6-4 MAC) scored four unanswered runs in the final two innings for the win.
