Head coach Trena Peel has announced the addition of four student-athletes who have signed National Letters of Intent for the upcoming season. These four will join six other incoming players for the 2014-15 season.

The University at Buffalo women’s rowing team added a pair of student-athletes during the spring signing period. Joy Ene and Mikayla Murdock will join Paige Krohn and Elizabeth Schilling, who signed back in the fall, beginning in the 2014-15 season.

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo's cross country and track and field programs will host their annual three-day summer camp starting on Wednesday, July 9 and running through Saturday, July 12. The camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 12-18. The camp will feature instruction from men's and women's cross country/women's track and field head coach Vicki Mitchell and men's track and field head coach Perry Jenkins and the UB coaching staff as well as demonstrations from UB student-athletes.

In a surprise announcement at Saturday morning’s Champions Breakfast, former University at Buffalo hockey player and staunch supporter of the Bulls Tunney Murchie pledged a $3 million gift to UB Athletics. It is the largest single gift in athletic department history.

The University at Buffalo women's tennis team will begin play in the 2014 Mid-American Conference Tournament on Friday morning when they face Toledo in the MAC Quarterfinals at 10 am. This year's tournament will take place on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, OH.

Men’s basketball junior Will Regan has been named to the Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC Team on Wednesday afternoon, the conference office announced. The team was voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions. A total of five student-athletes were named to the team. Regan was the only player from the MAC East included on this year’s team.

For the third straight year senior Tanvi Shah has been honored by the Mid-American Conference in its annual postseason awards as she was named All-MAC Second Team on Wednesday afternoon.

BUFFALO, NY – Five University at Buffalo athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field team as announced by the league offices on Tuesday morning.

Head men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley has announced that Ben Wood has been promoted to assistant coach. Wood served as Director of Basketball Operations for UB this past season.

After another series was threatened by rain, the true 2014 home opener came Tuesday afternoon for the Buffalo baseball team. It hosted Canisius for a pair of seven-inning games, and would ultimately lose both to the Griffs. Brent Cleland's solid start was a highlight of the day for UB.

Senior pitcher Kevin Hughes was named the Mid-American Conference's East Division Pitcher of the Week Monday morning. It's the team's third weekly conference honor of the 2014 season and it is Hughes' first pitcher of the week recognition.

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo wrestler Jason Estevez took home fifth place and was recognized as an All-American for his efforts at the FILA Junior National Wrestling Championships this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The University at Buffalo softball team left 11 runners on base Sunday afternoon and was unable to hold on to a late lead as the Bulls fell to Toledo, 6-2, in eight innings. Today’s game was UB’s final one at Nan Harvey Field.

The Buffalo baseball team tangled with Kent State Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of a three-game Mid-American Conference series, playing close early before a big sixth inning provided the Flashes enough offense to clinch the series with a 7-4 win.

The UB men's tennis team wrapped up the 2014 dual season Sunday afternoon, losing 6-1 at Ball State. The team finishes with an 11-7 overall record and a 1-3 Mid-American Conference record. Despite finishing with the same record as Western Michigan, the Bulls earned the final seed in the four-team MAC tournament by virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker.

The University at Buffalo rowing program kept up its dominating performance at the Harvey Cup, sweeping Eastern Michigan on Saturday morning on Tonawanda Creek. The Bulls were victorious in all five races, including the Varsity 8 affair, which is the Harvey Cup race, named for former UB Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator Nan Harvey who passed away in September 2003.

Senior Tori Speckman pitched a four-hit shutout on Saturday afternoon as the University at Buffalo softball team defeated Toledo, 2-0, at Nan Harvey Field. The victory improves the Bulls to 21-19 and 5-4 in Mid-American Conference play.

Jordan Johnson rushed for 114 yards and two touchdown to help lead the Blue team to a 20-8 victory over the White squad at the annual Spring Game played at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team ended the regular season on a high note Saturday afternoon as they defeated Akron, 6-1. The victory improves the Bulls to 14-5 and 5-3 in MAC play heading into next week’s Mid-American Conference Tournament.

The Buffalo baseball team saw its modest five-game win streak in Mid-American Conference games come to an end Saturday evening, as it fell 8-4 at Kent State (24-13, 10-4 MAC). Matt Pollock drove in three runs to power the UB (17-13, 8-5 MAC) offense.

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field teams dominated the three team field, Canisius and Niagara, as the UB women collected 16 individual titles while the men collected 10 at the UB Open held at UB Stadium for the first time since 2010.

The University at Buffalo softball team fell short in both ends of its doubleheader on Friday against Bowling Green, losing the first game, 6-1, and then falling in the second game, 12-11. UB is now 20-19 on the year and 4-4 in conference play.

In one of the best individual performances in the program's recent history, senior pitcher Kevin Hughes spun a two-hit complete game shutout to lead the Bulls to a 6-0 win over rival Kent State Friday evening. The pitching performance, coupled with an efficient offense, helped the team position itself in the race for seeding in the fast-approaching Mid-American Conference tournament.

The UB men's tennis team were able to feel the fresh air in its first outdoor match of the Mid-American Conference season but were unable to take down MAC-leader Northern Illinois (18-5, 4-0 MAC), falling to the Huskies 5-2 Friday afternoon. Damien David earned a pair of wins for the Bulls.
