EOC Building with Brick Facade

Construction of a new $26 million building to house the Educational Opportunity Center is projected for completion in early 2012. The facility will provide space for an array of high school equivalency, college preparatory, and employment training programs. The project will allow the EOC to relocate from its current location on Washington and Mohawk to modern facilities at Goodell and Oak Streets - immediately adjacent to the UB Downtown Gateway. EOC design development is scheduled to start soon. This image with a brick facade illustrates one of the ways the building could front on Goodell Street.

In September 2007, UB acquired the former M.Wile & Co. building on Goodell Street and adjacent properties to provide room to grow for its new downtown campus. The UB Downtown Gateway will make its home in the four-story daylight factory facility and provide space for community outreach, service, and research programs. It was the site of the Phase I Public Forum for Building UB in December 2007.
