Congratulations to Dr. Karthik Dantu, who has been selected to receive the University of Buffalo CSTEP Distinguished Research Mentor Award 2016. Dr. Dantu is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering and one of SMART CoE's faculty members.

As a Student-Choice Selected Award, this Award recognizes faculty research mentors who embody the qualities found in an outstanding research  mentor.  We recognize those who went beyond what faculty members normally do as researchers, teachers and advisors. Our committee looked for faculty who distinguished themselves by consistently helping students develop their intellectual curiosity, their capacity for contemplating deeper questions, and a lifelong commitment to learning.  This award also recognizes faculty research mentors who support CSTEP’s mission to increase the success of talented underrepresented students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and the licensed professions.
