  • The Pillars of Leadership Awards

    Formerly known as the LEAD Awards, the Pillars of Leadership Awards are designed to recognize individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to leadership, service, and the University at Buffalo.
  • Student Remembrance Ceremony

    At this annual ceremony, we mourn the loss of these beloved individuals, and reflect upon the impact they had — on us, our friends and the entire campus community.

    Each Spring, the University at Buffalo hosts a celebration of student scholarly, research and creative excellence.

Recognition Ceremonies

ALANA

The ALANA Celebration of Achievement is a commencement recognition ceremony, primarily for underrepresented students and student of color. For information about registration and participation, please view the Commencement website.

Lavender

The Lavender Reception is a commencement recognition ceremony that celebrates the achievements of graduating students who identify with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community at UB. Veteran and Military Recognition

Veteran and Military Recognition is a commencement recognition ceremony that celebrates the achievements of graduating students who serve or have served in the military. Check the Commencement website in late spring for information about registration and participation.
