SEESL is equipped with two strong floors, located in Testing Area 1 and 2. Area 2 includes Strong Reaction Walls on the far east of the testing area. Click the image to the right for a map of the strong floor in Testing Area 2.
The test floor is a reinforced ocncerete box girder with dimensions of 79 ft. (24m) long, 39 ft. (11.8m) wide. The thickness of the top test floor slab is 24 in. (60cm). Below is a breakdown of the capacity data. Please refer to the map layout of the strong floor at the top of the page to correspond with the line numbers outlined in table.
Note: The rows for "Allowable load per strip along NUMBERED lines (based on moment)" and "Allowable concentrated load PER HOLE (based on moment)" govern the design.
