UB SEFA Campaign raises $650,627

The 1996-97 State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) at the University at Buffalo has set new records for giving.

The recently completed drive netted $650,627.06, raising 102 percent of its goal. Many units at UB exceeded their goals, including School of Architecture and Planning, School of Management, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Office of the President, Student Affairs, University Services, University Advancement and Development, and Public Service and Urban Affairs.

UB logged 127 Leadership gifts of $1,000 or more; 292 Pacesetter gifts of $500 or more, and 732 Booster gifts of $150-$499, a new recognition category this year. Leadership gifts also set a record-up from 118 last year.

"Exceeding the campaign goal-and setting a new record for giving-brings pride to the whole UB community," said UB President William R. Greiner. "SEFA makes us all feel good about UB's reputation for caring in Western New York."
