What is the best way to keep up with current health science literature? MD Consult is an exciting new service now available to the UB community!

Doody Publishing, in cooperation with MD Consult has made available a one-year trial site license to this exciting new Web-based database. The database contains bibliographic and descriptive information on approximately 8,000 health sciences titles, including more than 4,500 original reviews, published since 1993. Each week the database is increased on average by 50 new books and approximately 30 new reviews. Titles come from more than 150 publishers covering over 90 specialties.

How do you gain access to MD Consult? Simply go to http://ublib.buffalo.edu/libraries/units/hsl/ref/ and click on Doody's MD Consult under "Biomedical Electronic Resources." If this is the first time you have used this service, you will need to register by visiting Doody's "Guest Area" then by clicking on "Sign me up!" Fill in your e-mail address on the first screen and then click the green buttons to proceed through the registration process. A screen will confirm your registration and you will receive your Profile ID via a later e-mail message.

With your Profile ID, you will be able to access the wealth of bibliographic information at the MD Consult Web site.
