University at Buffalo: Reporter

Reporter moves to News Services

The Reporter has moved to the office of News Services, which has assumed the responsibility for production of the university's newspaper of record.

Christine Vidal, editor, and Joan Danzig, associate editor, will maintain responsibilities with the newspaper and have moved from the Office of Publications, former home of the Reporter, to the staff of News Services. They will work closely with Arthur Page, director of News Services, and its staff of five editors.

While moving to a new office, the Reporter remains a publication of the Division of University Services. It will continue to receive support services from the Office of Publications.

Moving the Reporter to News Services places it in an office where news and the communication of news is the only business at hand.

The arrangement places communication with UB's internal and external audiences on a continuum, with News Services responsible for increasing the visibility of UB through the placement of stories in the print and broadcast media, adding communication with the university community to its mission.

The new telephone number for the Reporter is 645-2626; the new fax number, 645-3765. The Reporter staff continues to work in 136 Crofts Hall on the North Campus.
