Toles environmental cartoons on exhibit

Thirty environmentally focused cartoons by Buffalo News editorial cartoonist Tom Toles are on display in the Buffalo Museum of Science. The exhibit representing Toles' work over the past six years, was organized by UB Energy Officer Walter Simpson and is being sponsored by the university's Environmental Task Force.

Toles is a UB alumnus whose work appears in more than 200 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as The New Republic and U.S. News and World Report. The Pulitzer Prizewinning cartoonist is well known for his insight and humor in addressing such environmental concerns as population, our love affair with the car, suburban sprawl, the fate of old growth forests, state parks, global warming and efforts in Washington to play havoc with environmental laws and protections.
