Broadcast News is a CD-ROM product that contains the full transcripts of the news and current affairs programming of ABC, CNN, NPR, and PBS. Broadcast News is updated monthly and provides free transcripts for approximately 60 programs such as 20/20, PrimeTime Live, World News Tonight, Larry King Live, Moneyline, All Things Considered, and Washington Week in Review. Trial transcripts as covered by CNN are also available. With each update Broadcast News highlights RCurrent Issues.S The most recent disk lists such topics as AIDS, capital punishment, genetic engineering, home- lessness, religious cults, right-to-die, and womenUs rights. When a current issue is selected, not only can you obtain transcript citations, you can read a chronology of events related to the topic and identify pertinent books, journal and newspaper articles. Broadcast News has two search modes: RguidedS for beginners and an advanced mode. It is searchable by topic keyword, show, network, date, host, and guest.
