Reporter Volume 26, No.23 April 6, 1995 Track & Field UB sent teams to two track and field meets last weekend with strong results. At the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State, Lisa Kragbe set a school record in the 400 intermediate hurdles finishing third in 1:03.1. Her time also qualified her for the ECAC meet and the Junior Nationals. The Royals also qualified a pair of distance runners for the ECAC's with Judith Novak finishing sixth in the 5,000 meters (17:19.36) and Stacey Strothmann's tenth place finish in the 10,000 meters (36:21). Meanwhile, at the Rochester Institute of Technology Early Season Invitational, Amy Grinnell won a pair of events taking the 1,500 in 5:11.6 and the 3,000 in 11:27. Other winners for the Royals included Gretchen Welch in the 5,000 (19:23.2), Regina Larkin in the 100 (13.38) and Karen Lilly in the 800 (2:32.0). Ben Atkinson won the men's javelin competition for the Bulls at 46.38 meters. Josh Reissig finished second in the 5,000 in 16:25 and Eric Fischlein's 22.51 in the 200 meters was good for second. The Bulls set a pair of school records Saturday during the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Virginia. The distance medley relay team of Chris Bossert, Kris Winkler, Dave Falgiano and Chris Keenan set a school mark finishing 10th in 10:19.7. Another relay squad, the 6,000 meter team, consisting of Bossert, Keenan, Kweli Musa and Dave Yagielski finished eighth in 16:30 to break the school record. The women's 6,000 meter relay also set a school record at the same meet. Stacey Strothmann, Tara Reimer, Kerri Shpur and Amy Grinnell finished in 19:58 to establish the new mark.
