Dees, 68, a retired UB library clerk who died unexpectedly Jan. 18 in her Buffalo home. Dees was employed by the Internal Revenue Service before coming to work at UB in 1967 as an admissions and records clerk in Hayes Hall. She served as a clerk in Harriman Library for several years before joining the library of the School of Architecture and Planning in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, Vernell and Ophelia D.; two sons, Michael of Rochester and David; four sisters, Ophelia Parrom, Rosa Hall and Virginia Lawler, all of Cleveland, and Corena Tinker; six brothers, Ernest and Charles Beasley, both of Charleston, W. Va., Richard Beasley of Dunbar, W. Va., Vincent and Paul Beasley, both of Cleveland, John Beasley; and five grandchildren.
