November 10, 1994: Vol26n10: Rose Weinstein Award Competition Opens Rose Weinstein Award Competition Opens Students interested in gerontology are invited to enter the competition for the Rose Weinstein Memorial Award, sponsored by the UB Emeritus Center. The award honoring the memory of the late Rose Weinstein, a founder of the center, calls for a research project related to studies on aging. It is open to any UB undergraduate or graduate student in good standing who has been accepted into a degree program. The annual competition carries a $200 award. Entries must be written or created under the supervision of a UB faculty member and must be recommended in writing by that faculty member to the Emeritus Award Committee. Thomas E. Connolly is chairman of the award committee. The written recommendation must be submitted by the last day of February. The faculty supervisor of the project, in accordance with the rules, "shall testify to the scientific or technological validity of the project, or to the aesthetic or artistic value of the project, depending on the category into which it fits."
