November 10, 1994: Vol26n10: WBFO tops fall membership goal, raises $100,670 WBFO, the university's National Public Radio news and jazz station, has surpassed its $100,000 fall membership goal, with a total of $100,670 in new member pledges and renewals. This is the highest amount ever raised by WBFO during an on-air membership drive. When the successful drive was completed Sunday night, Jennifer Roth, WBFO's general manager, said, "Everyone at WBFO is truly grateful and honored by this tremendous show of community support, which includes pledges from many UB faculty, staff and students." Roth lauded the WBFO staff, volunteers and interns for their tireless efforts during the 11-day campaign. "It was just great to hear from so many listeners -- from the Buffalo area, from Southern Ontario, and from our repeater station communities, WOLN-Olean and WUBJ-Jamestown," Roth said. "Their generosity represents a resounding vote of confidence in WBFO."
