Reporter Volume 26, No.1 September 1,1994 Alumni Association sponsors career night "Navigating the '90sQCareer Passages and Portals," an evening of career exploration for UB graduates, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 7 in the Center for Tomorrow. The evening will include networking opportunities with community leaders, employment specialists, counselors and fellow alumni. Alumni may take part in four of 11 roundtable discussions. Topics include: "Automated Placement Services at UB," "An Employer's Perspective on the Successful Applicant," "Developing a Self-Marketing Plan," "Healthcare is a Healthy Career Option," "Be a Volunteer and Accelerate Your Career," "Career Issues for Women and Minorities," "Attractive Careers in Small Business," "Employment Opportunities at Your Alma Mater," "Nuances in Your Resume and Researching Employers," "International Jobs and the Skills You'll Need," and "The Hiring Climate in Western New York." The $8 registration fee includes informational literature and a networking reception.
