Reporter Volume 25, No.23 April 7, 1994 The university will build a new parking lot to accommodate about 260 cars in open parking north of Governors Residence Halls on the North Campus. Construction should begin within a few weeks and will be completed prior to the start of the fall 1994 semester, according to Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Clifford B. Wilson. Wilson said the university will also designate a portion of the Governors B lot for faculty-staff only in what is now a student lot. This process will result in a net increase in open spaces (for faculty, staff and students) across the North Campus,S Wilson said. There is a need, says Wilson, for more lots for faculty/staff who will be coming to the North Campus with this summerUs opening of new Natural Sciences Complex. Also planned is another new parking lot on Augsburger Road next to the Campus Mail building; this is to relieve congestion associated with events parking in that area of the campus, Wilson explained.
