Rachel Minnery, FAIA

Biography

Rachel Minnery, FAIA LEEDap is the Director of Built Environment Policy at the American Institute of Architects where she leads the resilience, disaster assistance and codes and standards programs. 

Her innovative design and non-profit management work is based upon principles of environmentally and socially responsible design. Rachel frequently speaks and writes on emerging issues related to sustainability, hazard mitigation and public-interest design. She is the recipient of the AIA 2013 Young Architect Award.

This talk was also a keynote lecture for the symposium titled "From Sandy to Snowvember: Climate Change and Buildings in New York State Symposium" on November 4th, 2016. The keynote lecture was co-sponsored by the RENEW Institute.
