Low Enrollment/Emergency Cancellation

The University at Buffalo CPR program reserves the right to cancel classes at any time. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment, severe or inclement weather, instructor illness, or emergency. In those very unlikely events, UB CPR will contact you via email. Participants preregistered in a cancelled class will receive priority enrollment in the next available class, or will be given the option to receive a full refund.

Cancellation

If you have registered and paid for the course you have guaranteed a space for that specific course date. Cancellations will not be accepted without a documented emergency (illness, death in the family). If you cannot attend the course you originally paid for, we will work with you to reschedule for another date. In the event of an emergency, supported with documentation, you will be eligible to receive a refund.

No-Show

If a registered student does not show up to their scheduled class and has not rescheduled, the student will forfeit the complete paid registration fee.

NEW! Vaccination Policy

For the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and patrons and in alignment with University at Buffalo Health and Safety Guidelines surrounding the Coronavirus, effecive January 31, 2022, UB Recreation will require all patrons, including children ages 5 and up, to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to access our facilities in Alumni Arena and Clark Hall.

The university implemented the proof of vaccination policy for all students in Fall 2021 and expanded the policy to include all visiting patrons, including children ages 5 and above, effective January 1, 2022.

Effective January 31, 2022, all children 5 and above and UB Recreation members (faculty/staff/community) will be required to have at least the first dose of the vaccine to attend all UB Recreation facilities and activities and show proof of vaccination.

All CPR courses purchased at this time must upload proof of vaccination. A vaccination card, a photo of a vaccination card, an Excelsior Pass, or a digital vaccine card are all acceptable forms of proof. Attendees should be prepared to show photo ID. UB also requires that masks be worn at all times while inside campus buildings, including Alumni Arena and Clark Hall.

Requiring proof of vaccination for UB Recreation participants is the latest step in a series of multi-layered health and safety protocols instituted across UB's three campuses this winter, including indoor masking, COVID testing and mandatory student vaccinations.
