How long have you worked at UB?

Print

I have worked at UB for twenty years this October.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is helping students, faculty and staff with their technical problems and issues so they can be successful.

What is the most difficult part about your job?

The most challenging part of my jobs is when something breaks and there is no known fix for an issue, and the only fix is sometimes trial and error and persistence.

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

My biggest achievement at UB is programing software solutions that have meet the specific needs of the Law School for decades better than some very expensive commercial products.

Tell us something about your department that isn’t well known.

Law IT has been running an ongoing Zoom Live IT support meeting for Law School users every weekday since the Covid19 Pandemic hit.

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

My advice would be that persistence and a good attitude will accomplish a great deal.

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

My hobbies include driving classic cars, hunting, and spending time with my wife and three daughters.

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

A breakfast scramble, which includes home fries, eggs, sausage, and bacon.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

The fjords of Scandinavia where my ancestors lived.

Any other fun facts about you?

I also enjoy working on home renovation projects and have gutted and rebuilt most of my over 100 year old home in East Aurora.
