UB on the Green, UB’s free outdoor performance series, is back for a 12th season of live music, dancing and activities celebrating summer in the South Campus neighborhood.

The family-friendly, alcohol-free events, hosted by UB’s Office of Community Relations, will take place from 6-8 p.m. July 18 and July 25 on the Hayes Hall lawn on the South Campus.

Free parking is available in the NFTA Park and Ride and Townsend lots. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic food to enjoy. Light refreshments will be available for sale.

In addition to musical performances, each night’s events will focus around a specific theme designed to welcome neighbors to the university and introduce them to different aspects of UB.

The theme on July 18 is “Care Fair Night,” an evening dedicated to health in the community, with free health screenings provided by UBMD, the School of Nursing and the School of Dental Medicine. J.J. Swing will perform.

July 25 is “Experience UB Night,” a chance for the community to learn what UB and the University District have to offer, with departments, schools and community groups leading fun and interactive presentations. The Kenny Hawkins All Star Band will perform.
