How long have you worked at UB?

Print

I have worked at UB for 11 years, starting as a graduate assistant in 2007.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy interacting with and assisting others in general. Providing resources to communities and individuals in need is very fulfilling.

What's the most difficult part about your job?

Doing more with less, and within university guidelines.

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

I cannot single out one achievement, but creating the university-wide Adopt-a-Family and School Supply Drive are two that stand out. It is awesome to see the programs I created and grew from just three departments are still going strong! I am also the president of the Minority Faculty and Staff Association (MFSA). If you would like to learn more please visit the MFSA website.

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

Remain true to who you are, and never compromise your values and beliefs.

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

I love basketball and play as much as possible. I also have quite a few aquariums (I love African cichlids).

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

Yes, any one my wife prepares for me to eat!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

Any other fun facts about you?

I have been trying out stand-up comedy...and...still standing. Also, UB Athletics chose me to be featured by the Mid-American Conference (MAC) for Black History month! It was a true honor to be recognized for something I genuinely love to do!
