UB is actively recruiting the next Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence, a senior leader responsible for leading, planning and coordinating UB’s efforts to ensure that policies and practices lead to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive campus community. Among other duties, the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence is responsible for overseeing the implementation of “Our Commitment to Inclusive Excellence: UB’s Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Plan,” chairing the Inclusive Excellence Leadership and Advisory Council, working with senior leaders to ensure that inclusive excellence-related objectives are incorporated into strategic plans and operations of the university, providing advice and training resources to reduce barriers to diversity in faculty and staff searches, and helping ensure that UB’s reporting on progress toward inclusive excellence is transparent and public.
