The Commission on Academic Excellence and Equity is broadly charged with making recommendations to the Provost and Faculty Senate concerning how, as a university community, we can support a culture of academic excellence and sustained scholarly accomplishments by all UB faculty.
In more specific terms, the Commission is charged with
identifying barriers that impede faculty success and there upon
making specific policy and practice recommendations designed to
lift these barriers so that faculty, regardless of
gender/race/ethnicity, can excel and flourish. The Commission is
further charged with recommending specific policies and practices
that will contribute to faculty success and productivity,
regardless of gender/race/ethnicity, over their entire faculty
career.
