How We Get Our Data

Academic Planning and Budget employs a number of UB's database systems for its planning and reporting mission.

Electronic Personnel Transaction Form (ePTF)

ePTF Electronic Personnel Transaction Form facilitates the flow and business rule adherence of appointment processing.

Electronic Requisition (eReq)

eReq is the university's online requisition system. The eReq system allows users the ability to submit requisitions using any of the following three funding sources: State, Research Foundation (RF), and UB Foundation (UBF).

InfoSource is the central data repository for UB. The data contained in InfoSource is loaded regularly from various campus systems, forming the most comprehensive data warehouse on campus.

Host on Demand (HOD)

Host on Demand is software that allows users to access various mainframe applications, such as SYS and CICS. Access to HOD is provided automatically after you have been approved for access by a UB Data Trustee or access to Student Information Systems.

PI Award Interface (PIAI) and RF Quick View

The PI Award Interface (PIAI) is a web based inquiry system developed by The Research Foundation to assist PI's and their staff monitor their award activity. PIAI has proven to be much easier to navigate than the Oracle/RF Business System previously used, and has received glowing reviews from it’s users.
