Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

BUFFALO, N.Y. — For the fifth straight year, University at Buffalo faculty member Gene D. Morse, PharmD, has been invited to lead a session on research capacity building at an international conference.

Five faculty members representing the health sciences and engineering have been named University at Buffalo Distinguished Professors for 2014. The appointments are effective Sept. 1.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Julie A. Johnson, dean of the University of Florida (UF) College of Pharmacy, will deliver the Gerhard Levy Distinguished Lecture at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Kapoor Hall on the University at Buffalo South Campus.
Three named SUNY Distinguished Professors

UB faculty members Michael Constantinou, Gene D. Morse andJohannes Nitsche have been named SUNY Distinguished Professors.


The five-day event, part of a new advanced degree program under development, includes lectures on genomics, Antarctic ice sheets and more.


The public is in the dark when it comes to herbal supplements, said Edward Bednarczyk, UB pharmacy practice chair, PharmD.


Pharmacy school’s gold rating exemplifies the University at Buffalo’s commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of all three campuses.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The National Institutes of Health has awarded $12 million to the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to lead a comprehensive quality assurance program in NIH-funded labs conducting HIV/AIDS and related clinical research programs worldwide.
