UB President Satish K. Tripathi will give his sixth State of the University Address on Oct. 6, during which he will review the progress UB has made in the past year.


The gift will help UB advance its goal of becoming one of the nation’s premier public research universities.


UB tied for 117th overall among U.S. colleges and universities — the highest rating of any SUNY nstitution — according to the 2018 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.


A new brand strategy and approach to student recruitment have helped UB enroll a record 4,045 first-year students this fall, the largest freshman class in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.


Nobel Peace Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai, former U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams and actor Alan Alda are among the speakers who will headline the UB 2017-18 Distinguished Speakers Series.
