UB 2020 Update
UB’s recent HR Transformation Initiative, a project launched in conjunction with the implementation of the UB 2020 plan, has led to two national honors for the university.
UB was identified as a “great place to work” by The Chronicle of Higher Education in a national survey of the quality of the academic workplace. In a feature called “2008 Great Colleges to Work For,” the Chronicle ranked UB in the top 5 in eight different ranking categories among large research universities of 2,500 or more employees. More
Human Resources received the 2008 Excellence in Human Resource Practices Award from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources in a competition involving 1,600 colleges and universities. The national award recognizes UB’s HR Transformation, which examined the delivery of HR services across the campuses and has resulted in many new services for UB faculty and staff, including programs focusing on employee wellness and professional development, and new divisional HR units.
