Master Planning Launched
President John B. Simpson announces UB’s master planning process during a major public address on Sept. 28 at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
In anticipation of growth that will increase its size by 750 faculty and 10,000 students over the next 15 years, UB has launched a master planning process that will assess campus and facilities needs. Among other things, it will look at how UB’s three primary locations—the North Campus in Amherst, the South Campus on Main Street in Buffalo, and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in downtown Buffalo—link with their host neighborhoods. “The vision for making UB a bigger and stronger institution is also a vision for how UB and Western New York can strengthen the vital partnership that binds them together,” Simpson said in announcing the planning process during a major public address at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. “What’s good for UB is good for Buffalo Niagara.” More
