A key component of OEE's mission is to provide resources and support to the campus community. This page serves as a clearinghouse for sharing just-in-time tutorials and information about assessment training opportunities. We will continually expand this page as new resources are developed and/or identified.
The SUNY Council on Assessment (SCoA) offers two certificate programs in the area of assessment: Assessment of Student Learning and Institutional Effectiveness. Each certificate program consists of 3 online courses, each lasting 6 weeks. New Cohorts begin in January and September. There is a fee associated with each course.
The seven schools of the Learning Assessment Research Consortium (LARC) have developed six customizable online modules to provide training in assessing student learning at the institutional, program, and course levels. Through a partnership with the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment (NILOA), these modules are offered for free under a Creative Commons license for use by administrators, deans, chairs, faculty, staff, and anyone else interested in student learning assessment.
Formerly known as Assessment Day, the Student Success Summit is a professional development day designed to inspire the UB community around key issues related to student success and the use of assessment to inform efforts to address these issues.
