Mindfulness meditation can make some Americans more selfish and less generous

Salon published a piece by Michael Poulin that expresses reservations about the effectiveness of mindfulness as it is practiced in the U.S. There is good reason to doubt that America’s interpretation of mindfulness would automatically lead to good outcomes. “In fact, it may do the opposite,” writes Poulin. That's because it's been taken out of its context.
