Immigration, Trump’s signature issue, takes a back seat in 2020 campaign

An article in U.S. News and World Report interviewed Jacob Neiheisel on how immigration, a top issue for President Donald Trump, has taken a backseat this election. Part of the explanation is that current events are so pressing that they have consumed both campaigns. "There's a point at which real-world events intrude upon the campaign in a way that can no longer be ignored," said Neiheisel.
