Black workers in Buffalo face bigger share of coronavirus impact

The Wall Street Journal interviewed Kelly Patterson, about the widening financial gap in Buffalo between white and Black workers. Black people in Buffalo and across the U.S. “were already economically insecure prior to the pandemic, and already had a very fragile social-safety net,” said Patterson. Because of those inequities, she said, “It’s much more difficult to weather these economic downturns.”
