Ivy League and other university presidents call on Trump to revoke — or change — immigration order

An article in The Washington Post reports the presidents of nearly 50 prominent U.S. universities, including UB President Satish K. Tripathi, have written a letter to Donald Trump urging him to rescind his controversial executive order that bars immigrants and non-immigrant visitors from Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S. “Throughout its history America has been a land of opportunity and a beacon of freedom in the world. It has attracted talented people to our shores and inspired people around the globe. This executive order is dimming the lamp of liberty and staining the country’s reputation. We respectfully urge you to rectify the damage done by this order,” they wrote. An article also appeared in Times Higher Education.
