UB political scientist James Campbell is quoted in an article in The Washington Post's The Fix about the comparisons being drawn between President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign and Harry Truman's 1948 reelection bid. "Truman's come-from-behind win is really not applicable in this case," he said. "The economy in 1948 as they were heading into the elections was really booming."
