BUFFALO, N.Y. — University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi will present his eighth annual State of the University address Friday morning.

Tripathi will reflect on the university’s transformation and many accomplishments under the UB 2020 strategic plan, and discuss UB’s ambitious course for the future.

“We articulated a bold vision, we set our plan in motion and, as a result, we accomplished very much,” Tripathi said. “But, as I have said before—great universities never stand still.”

His remarks will highlight the academic achievements of UB students, the accomplishments of faculty members, and how the university is making an impact both regionally and globally.

Over the past 8 years, UB has risen significantly in the ranks of the best public research universities, and is now No. 31 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report and Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.

When: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4.

Where: The Student Union Theater on North Campus.
