BUFFALO, N.Y. – “inSocialWork,” the University at Buffalo School of Social Work’s podcast series, formerly known as “Living Proof,” has been nominated for “Best Website” in the National Association of Social Work Media Awards.
A biweekly podcast series, “inSocialWork” features conversations with prominent social work professionals, interviews with cutting-edge researchers and information on emerging trends and best practices in the field of social work.
Viewers can access the posts at http://www.inSocialWork.org/.
School officials are asking those familiar with their podcasts to go to the NASW Media Awards site at http://www.socialworkersspeak.org/media/vote-for-the-2013-nasw-media-awards.html, scroll down to the “Best Website” entry toward the bottom of the page and cast their vote for “inSocialWork.” Ballots will be accepted until March 15.
“This marks the fifth year of our podcast series, and we would be honored to win this prestigious award from NASW,” says Tony Guzman, director of Online Programs at the UB School of Social Work, and leader of the podcast series committee.
“‘inSocialWork’ strives to provide interviews on both research and practice to the social work community. While social work can be about human interactions, interventions and rights, it also is important to leverage technology, such as our podcast, to dispense cutting-edge information in a free format.”
