Steven L. Dubovsky, MD
Professor and Chair of Psychiatry

Dubovsky is an expert on post-traumatic stress. He has studied the Columbine, Colo., shootings and interviewed survivors of the tragedy.

Carole Emberton, PhD
Assistant Professor of History

Emberton is an American historian who is an expert on historical understandings of guns and the Second Amendment.

Charles P. Ewing, PhD, JD
Professor of Law
University at Buffalo Law School

Ewing is a forensic psychologist, criminal lawyer and expert on child abuse.  He is the author of “Fatal Families: The Dynamics of Intrafamilial Homicide,” “Kids Who Kill” and “When Children Kill: The Dynamics of Juvenile Homicide.”

Associate Professor of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology

Nickerson’s research focuses on preventing and intervening with school crises, violence and bullying.
