Kristen Schaal to Perform Sept. 18 with Special Guest Kurt Braunholer

Award-winning stand-up comedian seen on television's Flight of the Conchords and The Daily Show

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Kristen Schaal with special guest Kurt Braunholer on Sept 18 at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage theater in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

Schaal is perhaps best known for her recurring role as super fan /stalker "Mel" on the HBO comedy "Flight of the Conchords," and as the senior women's correspondent for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show." She is also one of the rising stars on the alternative comedy scene, receiving glowing reviews and multiple awards.

She won the award for Best Alternative Comic at HBO's 2006 United States Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Kristen is the recipient of the second annual Andy Kaufman Award hosted by the New York Comedy Festival, as well as the winner of the 2006 Nightlife Award in New York for best female stand-up. In 2005 she was included in New York Magazine's "Ten Funniest New Yorkers You've Never Heard Of."
