UB Business Alliance Names Advisory Board

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Ronald J. Allman of East Amherst, plant manager at American Axle-Tonawanda Forge, has been named chair of the advisory board of the University at Buffalo Business Alliance, created to enhance UB's partnerships with industry by providing a central focus for its economic-development and industrial-outreach activities.

David K. Grant of Grand Island, economic development coordinator with Praxair, Inc., is secretary of the board.

Other members of the board are: Richard Allen of Youngstown, senior vice president, Sodexho Marriott; Keith Blakely of Buffalo, president, Advanced Refractory Technologies, Inc.; William H. Burns of Orchard Park, chairman/CEO, MINRAD, Inc.; Ronald W. Coan of Williamsville, executive director, Erie County Industrial Development Agency; Kevin Donovan of Tonawanda, area director, United Auto Workers Region 9; Charles E. Dowdell of Williamsville, president, Amherst Systems, Inc.; James Frost of East Amherst, Lockport site manager, Delphi Automotive Systems; Louis J. Goldberg of Buffalo, dean, UB School of Dental Medicine; Richard G. Hill of Williamsville, executive vice president, Taylor Devices, Inc.; Lewis Mandell of Buffalo, dean, UB School of Management.

Also, Robert J. Martin of East Amherst, president, Western New York Technology Development Center, Inc.; Daniel C. Oliverio of Orchard Park, partner, Hodgson, Russ, Andrews Woods & Goodyear; Henry Panasci, Jr. of Camillus, chairman executive, Cygmus Management Group; Patricia O.
