UB Art Students' Work to Be Displayed In Two Exhibits

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Attention art enthusiasts! Aspiring artists from the Department of Art at the University at Buffalo will display their work in two special exhibits.

Both exhibits will be free and open to the public.

The competition for the Rumsey and Potenza fellowships will be held from Thursday, Feb. 19, to Friday, March 6, in the UB Art Department Gallery in B45 of the UB Center for the Arts on the North (Amherst) Campus.

This exhibit will feature the work of juniors in the department who are competing for the annual fellowships. Winners will be selected by departmental faculty.

The Art Department Gallery hours are Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Senior Show will be held from Thursday, Feb. 26, until Friday, March 20, in the UB Art Gallery on the first floor of the Center for the Arts.

Graduating seniors from the art department will display their work in painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, printmaking, computer art and communication design.

The UB Art Gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
