BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Three pharmacy students at the University at Buffalo have been awarded $1,000 scholarships by the Women's Club of the Columbia University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

This year's recipients, chosen on the basis of academic standing and financial need, are Carmen Panetta of Albany, Brian Schoenle of Williamsville and William Lam of New York City.

The UB School of Pharmacy is one of four institutions selected to receive funds from the Women's Club when the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Columbia closed. The others are Albany College of Pharmacy, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences, and the School of Pharmacy of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
