UB Art Department Will Present Four Fall Shows

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Department of Art has announced that it will present four exhibitions this fall.

The UB Art Department Gallery is located in room B45 of the Center for the Arts on the North (Amherst) Campus.

Gallery hours are Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The gallery is closed Sundays and Mondays.

• “UB Painters,” a show featuring the work of 25 students in the art department Painting Program, will open with a public reception for the artists from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10. It will run through Friday, Sept. 26.

• “Susan Babson, Photographs” will open on Wednesday, Oct. 1, featuring the work of Babson, winner of UB’s “Crossing Borders” competition. The show will continue through Friday, Oct. 17.

• “XPOSE,” a show featuring self-definitions in various mediums by UB art students, will open with a public reception for the artists from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, and will continue through Friday, Nov. 14.

• “Dinnick & Howells: Pictures, Words, Meaning, Effect” will open with a public reception from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. It will run through Friday, Dec. 12.
