BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Business Leader Stacey Davis of Ortho Clinical
Diagnostics, part of Johnson & Johnson, will be in Buffalo
April 4 talking with entrepreneurs, investors and business
professionals about making deals through corporate investment.
Joining Davis and focusing on underserved market opportunities
for mezzanine and equity investments will be Ari David Kocen, a
managing director with the New York City office of Stonehenge
Growth Capital.
Davis and Kocen will present during "The Secrets of Successful
Valuation, Exit & Investment Strategies," a workshop that takes
place Wednesday, April 4, from 12:30-6 p.m. at the University at
Buffalo's New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics
& Life Sciences at 701 Ellicott St. in Buffalo.
Experts from MedTech, UB, Superior Group, Rand Capital, Mercury
Capital Partners, EFP Rotenberg, StoneBridge Business Partners,
Upstate Venture Association (UVANY) and the Western New York
Venture Association (WNYVA) also will present.
Attendees will hear about the current investment climate and how
investors -- angel, venture capital and corporate -- make deals in
today's growth environment.
The workshop sets the stage for the 2012 Venture Forum (May
16-17), which will give entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their
concepts to investors.

of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences are presenting
