Add another barrier disadvantaged students looking to go to college face when negotiating the maze of a successful higher education: Too many of these students conduct an unfocused, disorganized approach to finding the right college, making them too impressionable to marketing from colleges that may not fit their academic or economic needs.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Jaekyung Lee, professor of counseling, school and educational psychology at the University at Buffalo, and a fellow of the prestigious American Educational Research Association (AERA), has been appointed dean of the UB Graduate School of Education after a national search. He had served as interim dean since July 2012.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Students from more than 10 area schools inspired by the anti-bullying spirit will compete for the best musical show in front of “Jersey Boys” cast members and other celebrity judges at the “BAND Against Bullying” multi-school music and arts festival to be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at UB’s Center for the Arts.
