The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo welcomes Shaolin Warriors on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, UB North Campus. Performed by disciples of the Shaolin schools in China, the Shaolin Warriors are admired across the globe for their exemplary discipline and ferocious martial arts prowess.

The University at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance will present The Threepenny Opera from Wednesday, Nov. 14, to Sunday, Nov. 18, in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts, UB North Campus. Evening performances will be at 7:30 p.m. There will be matinee performances on Nov. 17 and 18 at 2 p.m.

Today is the grand opening ceremony of the University at Buffalo's new Crossroads Culinary Center (C3), a student dining facility that puts UB at the forefront of the collegiate dining experience. The ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m. on the first floor of Red Jacket Quadrange in the Ellicott Complex on UB's North Campus.

The University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning has announced several lectures, discussions and seminars for late October and November that focus on new methods and formats of practice in architecture and planning.

The University at Buffalo will open to the public some of its most unique collections, including what's believed to be the nation's only museum dedicated exclusively to the human brain.

The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo welcomes Pilobolus on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, UB North Campus. The performance is sponsored by M&T Bank.

The University at Buffalo Libraries have been selected as a 2012 Federal Depository Library of the Year by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooke made the announcement on Oct. 15 at the Federal Depository Library Conference in Washington, D.C.
