Deborah Reed-Danahay, PhD, of Buffalo, professor of anthropology
at the University at Buffalo, has received a 2014 summer stipend
from the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Division of
Research Programs to complete the draft manuscript of her fifth
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo School of Management is collaborating with the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to offer UB residents and fellows in any graduate medical education specialty an accelerated MBA program, starting this fall.
Darren Treadway, PhD, associate professor of organization and
human resources in the University at Buffalo School of Management,
has been named a founding fellow to the U.S. Academy on Workplace
Bullying, Mobbing and Abuse.
Carla Mazzio, associate professor and director of graduate
studies in the University at Buffalo Department of English, has
been awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship for
2014-15 for her book-in-progress, “The Trouble With Numbers:
The Drama of Mathematics in the Age of Shakespeare.”
Mary McVee, whose work in the University at Buffalo’s
Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction (CLaRI) has earned
praise and publicity from educational experts as well as mainstream
media, has received the Division K Mid-Career Award from the
American Educational Research Association (AERA), a national honor
recognizing an outstanding researcher in the intermediate stage of
