Dennis Kuo is an expert on a broad range of pediatrics topics, ranging from breastfeeding and immunizations to child health care financing and pediatric health care policy, especially for children with special needs or disabilities.

Kuo’s research focuses on health care systems and ways to improve the quality of life and care for children with special health care needs and medical complexity. He has also studied trends in health care spending and Medicaid utilization by children who require more intensive care.

Kuo sees patients through UBMD Pediatrics. As a practitioner and researcher, he is interested in family-centered care, including the concept of the patient- and family-centered medical home.
