Govindaraju is founding director of UB's Center for Unified Biometrics and Sensors (CUBS), which uses the science of identifying individuals based on their physical, chemical or behavioral characteristics to develop homeland-security and public-health strategies.
His research is focused on Pattern Recognition applications in the areas of Biometrics and Digital Libraries. He has co-authored more than 200 scientific papers.
