  • Pharmacy practice from a legal standpoint, pros and cons of online pharmacies, poison prevention
  • Consumer use of over the counter and prescription pharmacueticals

Fiebelkorn is an excellent source for stories about consumer use of both over the counter and prescription pharmaceuticals. He has directed efforts in Western New York to educate young children and their parents on poison prevention. He cautions consumers about the pros and cons of using pharmacy Web sites: Legitimate online pharmacies run by reputable community pharmacies can be good sources of information and convenience. But, he notes, some pharmacy Web sites, such as those that operate offshore and send consumers prescription drugs without a prescription, are illegal, dangerous and should be avoided. Fiebelkorn also is director/editor of the School of Pharmacy's Pharmacy Law Newsletter, the first newsletter devoted to laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice in New York State.
